Design Services

Beautiful landscapes and happy clients are my goals. I strive to create and implement landscape design composed of hardscape and plantings that meet your expectations both aesthetically and practically. I also work to use environmental concepts using native plants and the idea of plant communities whenever possible. The exotic or non-native plants are chosen with care for beauty and environmental responsibility.

Hardscape of stone and brick and plantings are tailored to your land and your dreams to engage your senses and enhance your home and your life.

The creation of a beautiful and functional place is very important to me. I use hardscape and plantings to create beautiful gardens. I employ the idea of the “right plant in the right place” in my work. It is four fold: Aesthetically to create wonderful plant combinations and weave color throughout the architectural landscape. Horticulturally to match the plant’s growing requirements and the site. Spatially to reduce maintenance, eliminate replacement, and allow the plant to grow to its natural and most beautiful habit. And Environmentally to respect the region's diversity and character.

Additionally, I provide night lighting, irrigation, snow melt, electronic gates, driveways, guest parking, ponds, waterfalls, fountains, screen houses within the scope of my work. Below lists the type of gardens I design. I look forward to working with you to create a beautiful landscape.

Design Process

The process begins with an initial consultation. After the consultation I'll know what your needs are and you'll know my ideas and solutions. Off the clock, I'll give you a design estimate. With a half deposit the design work begins: I measure and photograph, and write a detailed proposal of the design objectives, concepts, and work to be done that becomes the basis for the plan. We'll meet over draft design lay-outs and tailor the design to meet your objectives. The finished custom design plan includes dimensions, color highlights, a plant list (with descriptions and number of plants) and construction notes.

Consultation

Individualized on-site consultation charged my hourly rate provides solutions to your landscape problems and presents ways to create your dream garden(s).

Construction Co-ordination

I use qualified, experienced, and insured contractors. I gather estimates, schedule dates, and co-ordinate all work phases and contractors. Importantly, I layout the plan according to the approved design and make sure it is installed that way. I also source and purchase the plants, lighting, and garden accessories.

Maintenance

I will recommend experienced contractors to maintain your new garden design.
