This home used be hidden by plants–well groomed, but awful! It was like a pretty girl with a bad haircut. The “before design” and “after design renovation” shows an overgrown landscape planting that hides the best features of this traditional New England home.

The “after” landscape improvement photo, shows a carefully designed mix of foliage and forms that frames the house and shows its’ architecture to the best advantage. The design also creates a year long foliage combination, spring thru fall flowering masses with plantings designed to stay low to show off the lovely windows.  Also, when you arrive and park in the drive guests can see the front door. Along the path flowering shrubs and perennials provide masses of seasonal color that you can enjoy as you meander to the front door and from the inside and the road, too.

The large rhododendrons and azaleas were transplanted into other areas to provide screening from the road and/or create new woodland planting combinations. Old overgrown plants now looking great in new locations.

The new plantings were designed to create a beautiful welcoming entry garden from the street, the drive approach, and the inside looking out. Landscape lighting illuminates the lovely views into the night.

A once “homely” house is now a beautiful home. The landscape makeover transforms more than the architecture! It greets the family, friends, and the neighborhood.  A win win for all.
